How We Help

Being a parent or carer to children is one of life’s most rewarding experiences, but it can also be the most challenging.
That's why Parent Line NSW is here to help.

How Parent Line NSW Works

Parent Line NSW is a free telephone counselling, information and referral service for parents and carers of children aged 0-18 in New South Wales. Our experienced and qualified counsellors provide support for parenting and child-related issues.

Our service is also available for professionals and educators.

Parent Line is open seven days a week, Monday to Friday (9am-9pm) and Saturday & Sunday (4pm-9pm).

If you need to use an interpreter we can arrange assistance through the Translating and Interpreting Service. Just call us on 1300 1300 52, give us a few details and we’ll take care of the rest.

*Please note that we are closed on public holidays.

If you're a parent or carer and need some help, support or just want to talk through a parenting issue, our counsellors are here for you.

Parenting Stories

Parenting is a universal experience, yet every child and family is unique. Hearing other parents' stories can offer comfort, reduce feelings of isolation, and inspire new ideas, strategies, and hope for change within our own families.
