Information for expressions of interest
Parent Line accepts expressions of interest for casual telephone counselling work throughout the year, as well as advertising when specific vacancies arise.
Parent Line staff are paid above award rates under the Modern Social, Community, Home Care, Disability Services Industry Award including penalty rates where applicable. Generous salary packaging is also available. General information for applicants
Please read the position description for each role and other available information (including the About Us section of this website) before submitting an application. Applicants for positions at Parent Line are required to respond to selection criteria and will also be asked to undergo standard criminal history and working with children checks.
Your application should include:
A covering letter
Response to the selection criteria (this may form part of your covering letter or can be submitted as a separate document)
A completed CatholicCare
Application for Employment form.
Current resume or CV, including details for at least 2 supervisory referees (people that have supervised or managed you in another role).
A completed
availability form for shifts across a 24 hour roster, 7 days per week. (Please note that during the orientation period counsellors must work from the office, generally within the 8am-8pm bandwidth. Shifts from home and outside of these hours are only offered to staff after orientation and with the approval of the Manager).
