ABOUT INTIMATE II
Intimate II is a face-to-face marriage preparation course, which runs over 6 hours.
Prior to attending sessions with a facilitator, each person completes an online Relationship Inventory called PREPARE. The online questions are chosen according to the unique couple relationship circumstances of the couple, for example (but not limited to), a second marriage, different cultural or religious traditions, children from previous relationships, elderly parents, and many more. The resulting PREPARE report highlights the strength and growth areas of the relationship.
The PREPARE inventory is not designed to predict the future of a marriage, but is a tool which helps the couple to discuss specific issues, with the assistance of a professional facilitator. The facilitator coaches the couple in using different communication strategies to encourage reflection and insight.
A wide range of referrals for additional support is available. CatholicCare offers a confidential, highly professional counselling service, and as a community welfare organisation, provides this service on a sliding scale fee structure.
ABOUT ENRICH
Would you like a refresher for the marriage preparation you have done before? Do you want to build on your strengths as a couple and celebrate what you’ve achieved? Or maybe you are you going over the same issues and cannot find an effective way to discuss and resolve them? The Enrich course is similar to Intimate II, but is designed specifically for married couples who want to work on their relationship.
COURSE LOCATIONS AND DATES
Courses are held in: Bankstown, Fairfield, Inner West, Marrickville, Sydney City and the St George area.
Dates for Intimate II and Enrich are organised between the educator and the couple.
